Island of Palms ~

We went with friends yesterday to the Island of Palms for a fun day at the beach. It was a perfect day! The water was so warm, the sand glistened, and the sky was a bright shade of blue. The kids all had a great time playing in the sand and water together. The adults had fun playing too ... swimming and relaxing. Dakoda and Joshua ... having a ball!

A black crow perched on top of the canopy that Heather and Rick brought. Joshua had fun kicking the soccer ball around with Jamey, and playing volleyball with Dennis while us gals sunbathed. :) Later, Dakoda found Joshua rolling down a hill ... so he joined him. Ron and a few seaguls

We saw a dog helping his family carry the beach toys to the car ... it was really cute!

Michael shared his beach toys with Dakoda. Kameron took a break from playing and had a drink in the wagon with Dakoda. Joshua found a tiny crab with miss Angie. Later, he told me he would like to have a hermit crab as a pet. :)

After about 6 hours in the sand and sun we called it a day. Michele and Todd knew of a great pizza place for dinner, so we all went before heading home. The kids were asleep within 5 minutes of the start of our trip home. It was a fun day.
