Today we went on a field trip with Dakoda's child development class. Above is a photo I took while on the hay ride at Country Adventures. It is always so beautiful there.
He loves his new school, and all of his new little 3 and 4 year old friends. He especially loves all 4 of his teachers!
He has learned so much already, including spanish. He recites his numbers in spanish at the dinner table each night.
He has learned his alphabet, how to write his name, the days of the week, the months of the year, how to count to 25, and most importantly that it is important to use good manners.
He says "yes sir" to his Daddy more often now.
It is really great and we are so proud of him. The program he attends is very similiar to a Kindergarten class ... so we think this will give him a good head start for school next year.
He can't wait to go to the same school as Joshua does, but for now we are thrilled with where he is. By coincidence, the class he attends now is the first substitute teacher job I accepted two years ago. The teachers were so wonderful, and so loving to the kiddies that when I heard there was an opening we jumped right on it. :)
Today we chaperoned the field trip to Country Adventures. The kids were all so well behaved and everyone had a real nice time.
The hayride was fun, and the kids loved picking out their pumpkins.
Afterwards, we came back to their picnic area and all had lunch together before calling it a day.
We need to get ready for Uncle David to come into town to visit us for the weekend now ... he will be going to the fair with us on Saturday and then spending the night afterwards. The boys are so excited to see him, like always.
