A boys best friend ~

Day #2 with our new puppy has been wonderful. Last night we set her up on her little bed right outside of our bedroom in the little room we call "the nook" of our house. She whimpered at first, but once we checked on her (several times ... ok, we'll admit that we spoil her) she layed there and went to sleep. Early this morning I was greeted with a hyper little bouncy Bella who seemed SOOOO happy to see me again. She danced around, running around my feet several times on the way to the back door as I took her out. She is working on being house trained and doing well so far.
We left her for the first time today for several hours while we went to church and she was fine when we came home. No pee! "Good girl", we told her as we gave her a treat. We stopped by Pet Smart to get her a crate (we plan to crate train her after reading more on Maltese puppies - I added a link to our blog), some squeeky toys, a collar and some food. When we got home, we went swimming again. This time she jumped right in from the edge. She is so cute! Later, the boys played with her while Dennis and I did chores. When we finished, we found her dressed up in their Build a Bear clothes. What a little trooper she is. Needless to say, we love our little puppy. It's been so fun to have her. Oh, and we finally heard her bark for the first time late last night. She was so quiet since we got her until it was time for bed. Then, she had a few thing to say to us . . . "ROOF, GRRR - ROOF" she said in protest to going to bed.
