We love to be outside. We spend several hours every day out in our backyard when we have nice weather. The kids love to bounce on the trampoline, and of course swim - swim - swim. They are strong swimmers this year and it seems they never tire out.
We wanted to create a peaceful environment ... and after working on it the past 4 years, it has turned out as we had hoped. Of course there is always work to be done with a yard - but for the most part it's been great because we decided to put sand up on our "beach" instead of keeping the grass that was there when we bought this home.
In the Spring, when the trees bloom, we can barely see the other houses around us which makes it seem very private. We knew when we found this home it was "the one" ... mainly because of the backyard. It's really nice spending time out there reading or playing with the kids.
