Joshua and Dakoda ~
We've changed his middle and last name. His new name is Dakoda Wesley Paulsen (Wesley, after Dennis' Dad). It's been a long day, but one well worth the wait! We woke up early, and drove 2.5 hours to have our hearing at the court house in Charleston, SC. The judge was very kind. She smiled at us as the attorney questioned us. I was sworn in first, answered questions for about 10 minutes and then it was Dennis' turn. Dakoda changed chairs a few times in the court room, as he anxiously awaited the hearing to finalize. Joshua proudly watched, glancing at his little brother every few seconds. Dakoda's attorney had very few words, but what he did say was really nice. He told the judge he could tell that Dakoda was in a loving home, and it was in his best interest to be adopted by us. It was all very surreal. Our attorney, Glenn Lister came highly recommended and we can see why. He seemed sincerely happy to be there, and to be working for us to adopt Dakoda. We can't thank him enough for all he has done for our family. Detra, our adoptions case worker from DSS was so wonderful too.

What an amazing day it has been. It's real ... he's finally OUR BOY!!! :) GOD has answered our prayers.
Here is Dakoda, after lunch and ready to go home ... to his FOREVER home now.

Thanks so much to our family and friends who have been more than supportive through our dreams to adopt a child. To those of you who have been so kind, loving and supportive - we THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts! It has meant so much.
